About Coal Region Racing

It's story began in 1971 when race car owners and coal mining operators D. B. Muscara and Fritz Roehrig decided to build a track for the their '57 Chevys numbered 15-A and 88-B to practice on. Designed to fit the surrounding landscape much like its future sister track of Anthracite Raceway, the 1/3 mile track was completed in 1972.
